My day job really squeezed me for time this week, so no blog post. Sorry! Normal service should resume next week, in the meantime, what other board games do you think hide dark secrets behind a seemingly innocent or unassuming facade?

Catan uncovered should be brutal ๐Ÿ™‚ I imagine a siluet in a dark room of a robber disclosing secrets of players hiring him for dark operations ๐Ÿ™‚ Not that Power Grid is innocent on its facade, but the title for an article could involve “Greed for Power” ๐Ÿ™‚ See what i did there? ๐Ÿ˜‰ Hey, maybe greed was an intentional name for that game and they just misspelled it in the production ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Power Grid does seem like raw, unfettered capitalism alright. And it had to be Catan in the final panel. For some reason it’s always Catan…

I’ve been doing an undercover investigation into the Inns of Carcassonne. It is frightening.

    • I’d like to know just what exactly is it that those ‘farmers’ are doing all day.

Laying down on the job obviously.

What sort of blind firework makers exist in Hanabi? We needed that 2nd white firework. I all but TOLD you we needed that one! And you threw it away!?

    • Getting Hanabi next week (part of my brother’s trans-atlantic board game smuggling operation). After playing I expect to be fully versed in operating real fireworks.
